Z.A.K. Beveren  is gesticht op 2 juni 1984 door enkele jeugdhuisvrienden in Beveren.

Omdat het sport-aspect WINNEN niet meteen de hoofdzaak was bij het opstarten van de krachtbalclub en om toch ook wel wat op te vallen kozen de stichters voor het voorvoegsel "ZONDER  AMBITIE KRACHTBAL" Beveren dat een leuke afkorting oplevert en na 50 jaar kan uitgebreid worden tot K.Z.A.K.
